The Kalø Estate mainbuilding

Hovedbyggningen på Kalø Gods er fra begyndelsen af 1700-talet, opført af grevinde M.B. Reventlow.
Her findes i dag afd. for Flora- og Faunaøkologi, som er en del af Danmarks Miljøundersøgelser. Her forskes i planter og dyr, og deres forhold til det moderne landbrug. Mange undersøgelser laves i områdene omkring Kalø Gods.

The mainbuilding at Kalø was built in the beginning of the 1700 by the countess M.B. Reventlow.

Today the buildings are used by the Department of Landscape Ecology which is a partof the national environmental research institute of Denmark
The areas around Kalø are excellent for the study the ecology of wild plants and animals in the landscape.
